Meyer Family Vineyards Pinot Noir McLean Creek Road Vineyard 2019

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMcLean Creek Road Vineyard is the home vineyard in Okanagan Falls. The sparse, sloping, sandy alluvial/glacial gravels and sandy loams support five clones (114, 115, 91, 667 and 777), each farmed (not certified) organically, plot by plot. The finished juice goes into 25 percent new French oak for 11 months and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. It always presents exuberantly when young, with a mix of earthy, rhubarb and sour cherry flecked with ripe raspberry over a savoury, spicy, forest floor base. Well-balanced at a modest, by modern standards, 13.5 percent alcohol, but the good news is you can enjoy it now. A little bit of Oregon in Okanagan Falls. Try this with a favourite curry dish or grilled line caught salmon. An impressive 1,000 cases were produced.Tasted: 01 May 2021Tasted by: Prices:
