Burrowing Owl Cabernet Franc 2017

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThree years in this cabernet franc is still showing well. From estate vineyards in Oliver and Osoyoos, this was fermented in tank over two months before getting an 18 months rest in barrels before going to bottling unfiltered. Leather, ripe black cherry rule a rich frame with notes of tar and roast onions poking through. Tannins are worn but still ample, with a ragged grip that pulls you along to the finish. The fruit feels ready to drink now, especially alongside grilled meats or root vegetables.Tasted: 27 September 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
