Burrowing Owl Cabernet Franc 2017

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIt's hard not to like this style of South Okanagan cabernet franc, a melding of Pomerol and Bolgheri, that's lush and savoury. The nose and palate are packed full of rich tobacco and black fruit laced with brown spice and long, round, sweet, dense tannins that melt at the back of your palate. Very hedonistic, and this supple, juicy, tasty red is ready to drink now but should keep through 2023. Lamb chops would be an excellent match, or grilled mushrooms and root vegetables in an earthy food / earthy wine match.Tasted: 31 May 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
