Burrowing Owl Athene 2017

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada57% syrah, 43% cabernet sauvignon comes from BOW's estate BSB vineyard, and were cofermented before moving into a mix of French, American, Hungarian wood, with 25% new, for 18 months. This was bottled unfiltered. Swinging reductive and showing syrah's wild and meaty side, this is scented with Okanagan scrub, and structured with the red fruited and pencil shavings from the cabernet. A well put together blend, drinking smartly now, and will continue with cellar time.Tasted: 26 August 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
