Florence, Tuscany, ItalyBitter cherry, dried cassis, plum, worn leather snake through this organic, rustic Chianti Classico, one that feels somewhat sluggish with time, even though it's a youthful 2016. This bottle's bret gives way to iron pan lining the medium-bodied, brawny palate, with the metal overrunning into the tannins and creating a bitter astringency through the spiced finish.
