Tuscany, ItalyCalcinaia CC is mixed with canaiolo and colorino but is more old school than new. The style is rustic in the spaghetti red vein. Earthy dried cherry with dryish tannins with bitter walnut notes in the finish. It's fresh but short, and a bit too edgy to serve without food. Best with spaghetti and meatballs.
