Rodney Strong Sauvignon Blanc Charlotte's Home 2017
Northern Sonoma, Sonoma County, California, United StatesRodney Strong named Charlotte’s Home Vineyard in honour of his wife when it was first planted to sauvignon blanc back in 1971. The original site remains the core of this very modern Charlotte’s Home Sauvignon Blanc, along with select estate vineyards in the Alexander, Russian River and Dry Creek valleys. Winemaker Justin Seidenfeld continues to contain the maximum amount of freshness even in the ultra wet and warm 2017 vintage, with an enticing mixture of lemongrass, orange, lime, and candied grapefruit with an undercurrent of saline and tropical honeydew melon. It was the perfect tonic to taco chips and cumin salsa served on a sunny patio. Ninety percent is cold fermented in stainless steel tanks with no malolactic, with the latter 10 percent barrel fermented in French oak barrels with full malolactic.Tasted: 26 January 2019Tasted by: Prices:BC | $23.99 | 750ml | speculative listing not stocked |
