Sonoma County, California, United StatesCharlotte’s Home Vineyard was named in honour of Rodney Strong’s wife when planted in 1971. The original site remains at the core of the modern Charlotte’s Home, joined by selected estate vineyards in the Alexander, Russian River, and Dry Creek valleys. The wine has become increasingly fresher under winemaker Justin Seidenfeld. The wine opens with zesty grapefruit, followed by lemongrass, tangerine, and an undercurrent of tropical melon, with sea salt in the finish. This classic Sonoma match is seared scallops, and the fun pairing is taco chips and cumin.
