Emiliana Coyam 2011
Valle del Colchagua, Valle del Rapel, Region del Valle Central, ChileAromatic with notes of blackberries, bay leaf, violets and a dusting of coffee and chocolate. The palate weightier and richer than in the past with some meaty/leafy syrah/carmenère notes but still all in balance. The biodynamic fruit brings the wine alive from the front of the glass to the back. The grapes come off the 150-hectare Los Robles vineyard surrounded by oak trees or Coyam trees in the native dialect. The latest blend is 38% syrah, 31% carmenère, 19% merlot, 10 cabernet sauvignon, 1% mourvèdre and 1% malbec aged mostly in French oak of which about a third new.Tasted: 15 June 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $27.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
