Emiliana Coyam 2005
Valle del Colchagua, Valle del Rapel, Region del Valle Central, ChileThe latest edition of Alvaro Espinoza's organic ode to the Bordeaux and Rhone regions tops his fine previous effort. The nose is a mix of menthol and cassis flecked with pepper black cherry and coffee mocha note. The entry is warm and ripe with big full-flavoured black fruits, and smoky cherry flavours. The finish is ripe and warm with spicy, savoury, vanilla and cherry coffee flavours. Good value. The organic grapes come off the 150-hectare Los Robles vineyard surrounded oak (Coyam in the native dialect) trees.Tasted: 11 February 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $24.99 | 750ml | specialty listing |
