Joseph Drouhin Cote de Beaune Rouge 2013
Côte de Beaune, Côte d'Or, Burgundy, FranceFrom vines on the Joseph Drouhin estate as well as younger vines of Clos des Mouches and other Premier Crus of Beaune that have been declassified. Forest, moss, a puff of smoke, raspberries and red currants flow on the palate, broken up with a firm rasp of wood tannins and smoked stone (10-15 months in French oak, 10 percent of which is new). Young leather and sweet spice closes out this rustic red Burgundy, and would welcome grilled pheasant or guinea fowl.Tasted: 13 February 2016Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:BC | $43.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
