Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSmoky, vanilla, bacon, peppery, tobacco nose mixed with cherry, compost and cocoa aromas. Round, soft, juicy but slightly tart and warm with rhubarb, strawberry jam, vanilla, cocoa, tobacco, chocolate and resin flavours with a bit of orange spice. Seems a bit cooked and acidic at this point and will need another year in bottle for the oak to better integrate. Best now with grilled salmon.Tasted: 04 September 2015Tasted by: Prices: BC 30.00 winery direct, VQA and private wine shops

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis wine has seen time in both French and Hungarian oak, a spice cabinet of cedar wood, subtle hickory and fine sandalwood seasoning the ripe cherry, strawberry and boysenberry pie flavour. Ripe and round, with potent steak spice and fragrant cloves and cinnamon punching up the velvety mouthfeel and adding to the up-front wood notes. Not a shy pinot noir, and a good match to rustic cedar planked salmon or Moroccan spiced lamb or eggplant dishes.Tasted: 25 May 2015Tasted by: Prices: BC 30.00 winery direct, VQA and private wine shops
