CedarCreek Platinum Block 3 Riesling 2014
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaTwenty-three year vines were picked twice for this expressive riesling; first the top clusters were collected, leaving the bottom ones to hang longer and ripen further. Add in twelve hours of skin contact and you have a youthful, bright and zippy riesling with layers of depth underneath. Ample perfumed apple and pear blossoms lead into concentrations of pear butter, white flowers, key lime curd and whispy, ginger-shaded spices and lime pith. In youth, still finding its feet, but give this duckling 2+ years in the bottle and it will reward you ten fold.
