Altesino Brunello di Montalcino 2010
Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyThe Altesino estate spreads across 89 hectares, 44 of which are planted and subdivided into the Altesino crus of Macina, Castelnuovo dell‘Abate (in the district of Velona), Pianezzine and Montosoli. This 2010 estate Brunello is one fine bottle of wine. It has all the classic aromatic qualities of highly refined sangiovese fruit, bright and floral but with muted flavours of cherries and currants. It’s an attractive style of restraint that finishes with silky tannins and the perfect touch of earth and licorice. There is nothing to suggest this wine will not be drinking well through 2030. A great wine for collectors. Osso Buco anyone?Tasted: 06 December 2015Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $52.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
