Altesino Brunello di Montalcino 2005

Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyAltesino gets a minimum of four years of ageing: two in oak. Look for smoky, spicy, prune, barnyard, leather, tobacco nose with bits of black berry, meaty, carrot and ash aromas. The palate is ripe and supple with fine acidity and a minty, orange, black cherry, smoky coffee, leather/tobacco flavour. Good finesse if a bit forward. It ready to drink now with mushroom risotto or with a classic osso buco dish.Tasted: 06 December 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
