Blue Mountain Reserve Chardonnay 2012

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaTwenty three year old vines and a selection of four French clones make up this understated and elegant reserve chardonnay. Half was fermented and aged in French oak with the remainder in stainless steel, and no MLF was employed, leaving the acidity clear, shining and bright. Biscuit, cream, light lees and orchard apple aromas. The palate is full with apple, pear, lemon peel, almond, fine lees and persistent gentle nutmeg spice through the lengthy finish. This is a full bodied and structured chardonnay that handles ample oak in a confident, finessed way. Drinking well now (especially with scallops and crab), but will reward with 3 plus years in the cellar.Tasted: 18 May 2015Tasted by: Prices:
