Blue Mountain Reserve Chardonnay 2015

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRich, full and wooded, with perfumed white florals that waft throughout the length. This classic wine tastes as time stands still: creamy, French oak-influenced, full bodied, but reined into a 13 degrees alcohol frame. This is a very polished, poised and confident wine, from estate-grown 26-year-old vines and across five French clones. Forty percent is fermented and aged in stainless, with the remainder spread across new to fourth fill French oak barrels for 11 months. A June blending of the select lots return to barrel to rest on the lees until bottling two months later. White florals, French cream, white peach, popcorn and hazelnuts are lined with lees, lemon curd and slightly tightened with crystalline lemon. A serious wine, especially when it's had time to open and relax, or better yet, after a couple years in cellar.Tasted: 05 July 2018Tasted by: Prices:
