Painted Rock Merlot 2012
Skaha Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaBlack cherry, light coffee, vanilla, floral, sage, cranberry, savoury, smoky herb aromas. Dry, fresh, elegant but slightly tight palate. Cranberry, black cherry, coffee, celery salt, licorice, orange peel and chocolate flavours with a bit of savoury spice on the finish. Well balanced with good elegance and tannin balance. A touch less ripe and not quite as well knit in the mid-palate suggesting more time is required in the bottle to soften the edges. Give this another two to four years for maximum expression.Tasted: 01 April 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $40.00 | 750ml | winery direct, private wine shops |
