Mission Hill S.L.C. Merlot 2011
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOpen spicy, smoky, black cherry nose with savoury meaty, earthy, coffee aromas with a touch of olive tapenade. The attack is fresh and elegant but somewhat lean with light tannins and more coffee/cedar, black cherry, plum, rooty, vanilla, tobacco flavours. A lighter weight, slightly leaner cooler version this vintage that will further improve over the next five years in bottle. Serve this with roasted meats.The SLC merlot is made from select blocks and rows grown at several Osoyoos estates.
