Pétales d'Osoyoos 2010

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaDespite the so-so vintage this is a big Pétales. The nose is classic south Okanagan savoury with cedar, dried herbs and cool red fruits. The palate is similar with resiny, cran-cherry fruit, spice and subtle vanilla and coffee notes from second and third use barrels. The 2010 is a 58/16/17/5/4/ of merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and malbec. It is aged 20 months in 60/40 split of one- and two-year-old French oak barrels.Tasted: 20 November 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
