Howling Bluff Sauvignon Blanc 2012
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe success of the HB sauvignon sémillon has kept the straight sauvignon blanc on the back burner due to lack of fruit but all that changed in 2012. A new source, Three Sisters Vineyard, from across the street and up the hill has produced 260 cases of very fresh white wine. The nose is a mix of citrus and nettle notes with similar flavours streaked with grapefruit and pineapple. Much better than last year and more along the road of the New Okanagan style.
