Howling Bluff Sauvignon Blanc 2006

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThird year vines are the engine for this stainless steel fermented sauvignon from Naramata. The nose is clean, with plenty of green apple skin and gooseberry notes. Piercing acidity carries the mid-palate with a crisp tangy, slightly herbaceous mouth-watering finish. Best with oysters or goat cheese to tame the acidity. A pretty good start for a wine that is much more serious than its label.Tasted: 29 September 2007Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
