Insoglio del Cinghiale 2010

Bolgheri, Tuscany, ItalyInsoglio del Cinghiale is a Maremma-base red blend and the little brother of Tenuta di Biserno. In 2010 the mix is 34/30/30/6/ of syrah, cabernet franc, merlot and petit verdot. The style is fresh and round with an inviting nose of savoury black fruit. The attack is rich but with slippery, supple tannins and a lively mix of red fruits, liquorice, grilled meat and oak. A country red with a lot of style. The winery says it could run a marathon but wouldn't win. A versatile food wine that is ready to drink. Good value.Tasted: 14 July 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
