Insoglio del Cinghiale 2009

Bolgheri, Tuscany, ItalyInsoglio del Cinghiale is a Maremma-base red and the little brother of Tenuta di Biserno. The blend is an unusual 32/31/32/5/mix of syrah, cabernet franc, merlot and petit verdot and is predictably easy sipping rich and savoury like most Bolgheri reds. As in previous years the style is approachable, that tannins supple with a whack of savoury red fruit and liquorice. A rich country red with a real sense of style. A versatile food wine that should be on many a restaurant list. Good value.Tasted: 08 May 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
