Croft Vintage Port 1991

Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalStill dark and nearly opaque the '91 is looking and tasting quite youthful. The nose is equally fresh with floral and red fruit aromas and liquorice. The palate is perfumed and spicy with tea grapes prunes and minty warm chocolate cherry flavours through-out. There is a roundness of tannins at this point but there is still some grip on the mid-palate. No rush to drink this one before 2020. Fantastic value at CDN $86.Tasted: 03 November 2011Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
