Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalVery dark cherry colour. Peppery, licorice, very spicy, aromatic nose of violets and roses with cherry jam, blackberry, and dusty, jammy, fresh fruit notes. Rich, round, full, concentrated and tannic with very good acidity and sweetness balance. Big plum, black cherry, spicy, licorice, chocolate, black raspberry flavours, very exotic. Long, warm juicy and opulent. The best in years from Croft now under the control of the Taylor Fladgate group.
