Continuum 2006
Napa Valley, California, United StatesI recently re-tasted the 2006 Continuum (year two of the project) as part of a mini vertical including the 2007 and 2008 and if you have this wine in your cellar consider yourself very lucky. It has lost a lot of that puppy fat that young Napa cabernets can possess and it is beginning to settle in to its own showing amazing elegance and restraint for Napa Valley. The palate is focused, even linear with ripe black fruit and dense sweet tannins balanced by just enough acidity and tannin to keep the wine form exploding its britches. Savoury and harmonious it reminds mean of some of those great Bolgheri reds.
