M. Chapoutier Hermitage Chante Alouette Blanc 2007

Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceAfter a long day of tasting ordinary wine Chante Aloutte can inspire. The spicy, honey, nutty, ginger, floral nose is très exotique and flecked with baked quince and lemon oil. The attack is rich, round, juicy and full-bodied but the palate is refreshingly dry. Waxy, cedar, lemon oil, leesy, cooked ginger, quince and floral, mineral flavours mark its palate. The finish is broad and warm but clean with a lot of intensity and unique flavours. We suggest lightly curried prawns as a match but you can use your imagination here.Tasted: 30 July 2011Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
