Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceLight yellow gold colour. Nice nutty, quince, lemon, floral, honey, spicy, ginger, slightly toasty aromas. Ripe, rich, round, full, slightly sweet and warm palate but good intensity and finesse. Honey, nutty, baked quince, floral, ginger, creamy, orange and butter flavours. Fully mature now, try with Alsatian food or crab with butter. The wine is 100 Marsanne grown on soil made of loess, and covered with chalky clay all farmed bio-dynamically from the top of the Hermitage slope down to the bottom.
