Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon 1998
Valle del Curicó, Region del Valle Central, ChileBig, dark and alcoholic is my take of the 1998 Montes Alpha Cabernet. Compost and prunes mix with resin, cassis and hints of barnyard, spice and vanilla. The styling is more Bordeaux than California but it suffers from what is really a tough year for most cabernets.
