There is always a lot of hype surrounding wines that score well.
Often, wineries publish the highest score a wine gets no matter the source, rather than considering the body of work of the taster and whether they want their reputation to be linked to that of the writer. We consider many factors when we taste at GOW before we score a wine, and I can tell you we agonize over those scores more than you know. But in the end, it is pretty obvious by the note what we think of the wine, and it is that story we hope you take away with you. This month, our Top Ten is a simple list of wines that were tasted recently that we really liked. Enjoy.
