Painted Rock Cabernet Franc 2022

Skaha Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaComing off the elegant 2021, the 2022 looks a bit broader and richer, befitting the vintage. The nose is a mix of floral sensations, led by violets, with hints of smoke and toasted oak. Typically, the wine spends about 18 months in 30% new French oak and is blended just before being bottled unfiltered. The palate is a spicy mix of black and blue fruits and licorice, before a youthful, dry finish reminds you the wine is still young and will need time to fully develop in the bottle. Textured and expansive, it has the structure to age seven to ten years.Tasted: 21 May 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
