Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canadaantalus' Old Vines Riesling, consistently one of Canada's top wines, comes entirely off 1978 plantings of clone 21B, predominantly sheltered by Ponderosa pines, and rooted in deep silty soils. This was handpicked, gently whole bunch pressed, settled and fermented cool before resting 3 months on lees, plus 2 years in bottle prior to release. As ever, such a wine of site, and time. Savoury and stony, with crushed rocks basing the textural tangerine, crunchy green apple, pithy lemon throughout, with ample tension, and a kiss of petrol before the lingering saline finish. Striking, as ever.Tasted: 08 July 2026Tasted by: Prices:

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAnother superb iteration of this Okanagan benchmark. From vines planted in 1978, Tantalus Old Vine Riesling continues to set the standard year on year. The nose is intriguing and layered with lemon zest, honeysuckle, jasmine, and lime blossom woven through crushed stone minerality and the variety's hallmark whisper of petrol. On the palate, dryish with well-judged sweetness, taut and precise, with real depth operating in perfect balance. The acidity is electric, the length impressive. Complete and genuinely delicious now, yet with the structure and concentration to reward years of cellaring.Tasted: 25 March 2026Tasted by: Prices:
