Mission Hill Compendium 2021

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaExpect rich, intense black currant, dark plum, and blackberry, complemented by streaks of cedar, cocoa, and savoury spice. The tannins are dense yet fine grained, and the finish is balanced and extended. This wine can be aged until 2029 or enjoyed now with grilled meats. Despite the threats and wildfires of 2021, this wine remains smoke-free and refreshingly clean. Compendium is sourced from a series of estate vineyards in Osoyoos and Oliver, including the Black Sage Bench in the warm southern Okanagan Valley. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 18–20 months in French oak barrels, then undergoes further bottle aging before release. The Compendium blend is a 40/35/20/5 mix of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, and petit verdot.Tasted: 20 February 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
