Fort Berens Riesling 2024
Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaOff their Lillooet estate Dry Creek and Red Rock vineyards, this saw 12 hours skin contact before a light pressing and a long, cool ferment in stainless. The cool temperatures left a bump of RS (9.7 g/L) to balance out the racy acidity. It was kept on lees 4 months before bottling. Juicy pink grapefruit, lime blossom, crisp pink lady apple is kissed with rosewater and subtle ginger spice, the latter humming on the finish. Quite smart, especially with lightly spicy dishes.
