Plume Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAnother silky-ameen cabernet from Quails' Gate chief winemaker Jeff del Nin from the highly regarded '22 vintage. The notoriously difficult to ripen grape was a slam dunk in 2022. Winemaker Jeff del Nin produces this wine at Quails' Gate as a sister label to its Plume Alexander Valley version in Sonoma. It is a drier version with more minerality, featuring a dusty, laurel, desert brush undertone. The fruit is a blend of dark candied plums and cassis, finishing with some lingering, sticky tannins yet to be fully dispersed. It is a gastronomic red that needs time to develop into a rewarding, mouthfilling red. Time will tell how good this can be.Tasted: 03 July 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
