Plume Cabernet Sauvignon 2024

Wahluke Slope, Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesWinemaker Jef del Nin sourced his 2024 Cabernet Sauvignon from a well regarded, warm, south facing slope on Washington State’s Whaluke Slope. The nose is firmly Cabernet Sauvignon, with intense savoury blackberry and blueberry jumping out of the glass. The palate is more of that, with bright blackberries, cassis, and blueberry pie, plus vanilla and clove spice, supported by dense, sweet tannins in the finish. It is a giant of a wine, fermented for 10-14 days before aging in 30% new and 70% neutral French oak for 16 months. Rich and bold, this wine will reward patience, but if you can’t wait, slow braised meat dishes such as osso buco would be the antidote for now.Tasted: 24 July 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
