Plume Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Napa Valley, California, United StatesDark youthful, black purple colour with an open peppery, earthy, blackberry nose flecked with vanilla, coffee, cedar and candied orange aromas. The attack is ripe and round the texture dry with light, grainy tannins. It has restrained, at least for Napa, smoky coffee, cedar, minty blackberry jam and cassis flavours with a resiny, tobacco, chocolate and savoury undercurrent. A solid effort to go with beef or lamb. Plume is a joint venture project with the Okanagan's Stewart family (Quails' Gate) and the Zepponi family of Napa Valley founders of ZD Winery and now working across California in the wine business.Tasted: 10 April 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $29.00 | 750ml |
