Burrowing Owl Pinot Noir 2023

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2023 Pinot Noir comes off Oliver's Burrowing Owl Vineyard, plus Okanagan Falls' Sumac Slope Vineyard. The fruit was destemmed and gently crushed before a 3 day cold soak and 3 week fermentation in stainless. It was then pressed into French oak (36% new) for 9 months' aging. Smokey, toasty seasoning sits atop of plush plummy fruit, softened further with plumped tannins, finishing with a wave of warmth feeling warmer than its 13.5%. A richer, denser pinot noir than you may be used to, so try with smoked duck or pork shoulder for best results.Tasted: 22 May 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
