Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMade from estate syrah (clone 100) with a touch of viognier (5%), this intense and expressive Similkameen syrah bursts with violet florals, plum, blueberry, black cherry, and a hint of black pepper on the finish. It further reveals the characteristic gamey, meaty wildness of syrah, complemented by hints of rosemary, thyme, and stony minerals. The ripe, succulent fruit never feels heavy or jammy. A healthy dose of firm tannins and fresh acidity nicely frames the fruit, giving it the structure and balance.
