Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOpen meaty, black berry jam, resin, black licorice, tobacco, cedar and light garrigue aromas flecked with vanilla and chocolate. Ripe, round, fresh, smooth palate with some warmth. Black berry jam, chocolate, coffee, vanilla and smoky herbs dominate the palate with a peppery, gamey, licorice finish. A bit warm but with fine fruit and intensity. Approachable now but will cellar for three to five years.
