Louis Latour Chardonnay Bourgogne 2022

FranceOver the past decade, this label has evolved from a basic cardboard version of inexpensive white wine to something that represents a white wine from Bourgogne. Louis Latour has an extensive range of vineyards to work with, allowing the esteemed wine merchant to easily create a well-balanced and complex Bourgogne chardonnay that showcases the clay and limestone terroir of the region. Produced annually, it is aged for eight to ten months after a portion of the juice is fermented in stainless steel, and softening the acidity through malolactic fermentation. The textures are surprisingly rich and creamy, with fresh lemon and honey complemented by green apple and pear. This wine is an excellent introduction to Bourgogne at an exceptional price. A real bargain for simple, classic, and unmistakable Bourgogne.Tasted: 22 August 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
