Louis Latour Chardonnay Bourgogne 2008
FranceVery citrusy, green apple, floral, matchstick, pear skin aromas. Fresh, dry, delicate, slightly skinny palate with a creamy acidity. Lemon, lime, slate, pear, apple skin, light butter and spice flavours. Good juicy palate if a bit austere. Solid food wine for the money. Nice improvement over the last decade. One wonders how much more of this wine could be sold if it was finished under screwcap. How can a delicate white Burgundy be hurt by an easy opening device that doesn't scalp off the top 10 per cent of its best flavours.Tasted: 04 September 2010Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $21.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
