Seven Directions Tractor and Vines Vineyard Pinot Noir Rosé 2023

Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSourced from a single vineyard, the grapes for this Pinot Noir rosé were farmed sustainably at Tractor & Vines Vineyard in Summerland. The 1.1 acre parcel sits at lake level, advantageously facing east-west. The 15 year old vines are dry farmed in rich organic, silty, clay / loam / Fluvioglacial deposits. Yields were down in 2023 due to winter kill, and the results are a much more intense version of this label. Fermentation vessels were mixed: 75% in stainless steel tanks for freshness and aroma; and 25% in neutral French oak barrels for added creaminess and texture. The colour is pale, pale salmon. The nose and palate are a busy mix of orange blossoms, pink grapefruit, and citrus-soaked watermelons. The style is a little more rustic this year with less finesse, but most will enjoy this lush style.Tasted: 25 April 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
