Seven Directions Tractor and Vines Vineyard Pinot Noir Rosé 2017

West Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSeven Directions is serious about pink. This rosé-only winery releases a series of single-vineyard rosés every year, sourced from various wineries spanning the length of the Okanagan. This is from a one acre lake-level vineyard in Summerland, and from ten year old vines. The pinot noir was crushed and cold soaked for only two hours on the skins, which is why the colour is so pale (every so slightly just off-clear), fermented cool and held on lees. An alluring nose of stones, wild strawberries, kiwi, Anjou pear, mandarin, with Asian pear crunchy acidity to texture and lift. The finish is lengthy and silken. Elegant, textural, interesting, and impressive.Tasted: 01 June 2018Tasted by: Prices:
