Seven Directions Tractor and Vines Vineyard Pinot Noir Rosé 2022

West Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaKristine and Daniel Bontorin have been busy finishing their new winery in the Similkameen Valley but have still found time to make another version of the Tractor and Vines Vineyard Rosé that is easily among the top five rose’s made in BC every year. The fruit is grown at lake level on a 1.1 acre, dry-farmed Summerland site, and the 15-year-old vines, oriented east-west, sit on silty clay loam and fluvioglacial deposits rich in organic matter. The colour couldn’t be any paler, and the 667 pinot noir couldn’t be more floral and inviting on the nose. The grapes are crushed and cold-soaked briefly before pressing and fermented in the roughly three-to-one ratio of stainless steel tanks and neutral French oak barrels. It is very Provençal in style with fresh and creamy citrus and strawberry that melt in your mouth yet persist long into the finish. Load up if you can find it. You will not be disappointed.Tasted: 25 April 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
