Leyda Pinot Noir Lot 21 2019

Valle de Leyda, Valle de San Antonio, Region de Aconcagua, ChileThe Lot series is all about the terroir and respecting the fruit and identity of each variety. In this case, the pinot noir is Clone 777 and opens with a delicious, juicy, almost creamy style. LOT 21 Pinot Noir comes from three marine-influenced estate plots and a mix of red granite, iron, calcium carbonate, and clay soils, all at various exposures. Each was harvested separately, with around 30% whole cluster, and native fermented in closed concrete vats before heading into untoasted 2000L foudres, a concrete vat, and used 300L French oak barrels. Look for silky plum and black raspberry on a medium-weight palate. There is a cool freshness here that draws you along. This has plenty to offer for the price, which is more than we can say about many pinots at this price point. Back up the truck.Tasted: 10 March 2023Tasted by: Prices:
