Leyda Pinot Noir Lot 21 2022

Valle de Leyda, Valle de San Antonio, Region de Aconcagua, ChileLot 21 is a highly focused Chilean pinot noir that opens with a whiff of violets, leading to a gamut of red and dark fruit mixing cherries and raspberries streaked with a slightly richer cassis note. Plenty of lively, juicy fruit here, but with a great structure and a touch of tannin suggesting it will age for a few years in bottle. The clonal mix is 777 blended with a massale selection, and the result is a pinot noir of substance and one of the best in Chile. The final blend mixed 35% foudre with 33% from concrete vats and 32% from barrels. It is a pinot that sings Leyda. The match at the winery is truffle tagliatelle with mushroom sauce.Tasted: 22 August 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
