Argiano Brunello di Montalcino 2018

Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyThe Argiano family boasts 500 years in the region, growing grapes on a sheltered plateau in the lee of the Amiata Mountain. The property, currently under the direction of winemaker and manager Bernardino Sani, is thriving. Sani has been instrumental in refining the style, using less oak for a more elegant style. Awash in savoury, earthy sangiovese fruit mixed with violets, the palate is lifted with bright acidity and dense, sweet tannins that, while plentiful, do not interfere with the big picture. This will be a mid-term Brunello you should drink from 2025 -2028.Tasted: 10 March 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
