Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyIt was a difficult year in Brunello, so the concentration comes from small barrels rather than the vineyard. The nose is earthy, the palate firm and dry - almost old style. The flavours are a surprise, better than the nose for sure, offering leather, forest floor, cedar and branchy red fruits. The finish is medium-long with fading tannins. It’s ready to drink and we suggest you do that before the fruit is gone.Tasted: 14 March 2017Tasted by: Prices:

Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyIt was a difficult year in Brunello so the concentration comes from small barrels rather than the vineyard. Expect mix of cedar, liquorice root and earth with more red fruit aromas and flavours this year than the black fruits of 2007. The 08 marks a change from the Tachis 'winemaking' years to a renew emphasis on site and terroir. Elegant cool restrained and it is fun to drink now. Should be best through 2018. The Argiano flagship is a selection of the estate best plots aged in French oak for one year before it spends another 18 months in large Slovenian botti.Tasted: 14 February 2013Tasted by: Prices:
